The MISSION of BCREN is to provide a community of connection, idea sharing, support, and mentorship for Black members of the commercial real estate industry with the intent of increasing our voice and presence. To connect with schools and youth organizations, and to provide Black youth with an awareness of the real estate field and of professional opportunities within the industry.
The BCREN increases communication and awareness around diversity in the commercial real estate industry.
Our membership is comprised of commercial real estate professionals of all career levels and ranges of experience.
The BCREN members are involved in all areas of commercial real estate from private firms and government agencies, to trade organizations, and community nonprofits.
Our network includes developers, investors, architects, attorneys, finance professionals, contractors, asset managers, and brokers working across a range of firms, from family office enterprises to multinational companies.
Derith Jarvis is a Senior Vice President at JLL and an experienced executive with a reputation for providing leadership and achieving results in a dynamic business environment. Derith is helping to lead several Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion initiatives in JLL as well as Co-Leading JLL's Black Professionals Network in Dallas. As a leader and Co-Founder of the BCREN, Derith is committed to the education, promotion, professional development, and recruitment of minorities in Commercial Real Estate
Dustin Sutton is a real estate and tech entrepreneur with over 17 years of sales, technology, and real estate experience. As Director of Strategic Partnerships for Local Logic, Dustin is actively engaging with investors and operators to provide data and insights for the real estate industry. Dustin has a passion for helping others and giving back to the community through various initiatives. Most recently, Dustin has shown his commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts by co-founding and organizing the BCREN.
